A clear definition of the service being provided will be emailed across for both parties to be certain that the order is as expected and agreed. This email will set out what is included re design, collection expectations, delivery details, portion sizing (if relevant) etc for each order.

Social Media/Website Imagery

Please note, any or all parts of your order may be photographed and used on Bitesize Bakehouse website and social channels. No identifying information will be shared (without express permission) and we endeavour to ensure any full shot photos/posts that are shared, is done so after your planned events. Please do contact us direct if you have any questions about this and would like further clarification.

Securing Your Booking - Booking Fees/Deposits

A 20% non-refundable booking fee payment is required to confirm all wedding cake orders/ date availability and until deposit payment is received your order and date availability cannot be guaranteed. Remaining balances for wedding cake orders are required one month prior to wedding date, or you will risk cancellation of the order.

A 20% non-refundable booking fee payment is required to confirm all celebration cake orders/date availability and until deposit payment is received your order and date availability cannot be guaranteed. Remaining balances for celebration cakes are due two weeks before the cake delivery/pick up date, or you will risk cancellation of the order.

A 20% non-refundable booking fee payment is required to confirm all bespoke orders/date availability and until deposit payment is received your order and date availability cannot be guaranteed. Remaining balances for bespoke orders are due two weeks before the agreed delivery/pick up date, or you will risk cancellation of the order.

Online shop orders, or in person event purchases do not require deposit payments, but will require full payment for the total order to confirm the booking/purchase.​

Please note, that for all Bitesize Bakehouse orders the items will not be delivered/ available for collection until full payment has been received.

Changes to your booking

In the event of any changes to confirmed bookings (design/date/other) please contact us as far in advance as possible. Bitesize Bakehouse will endeavour to be as flexible as possible given the availability and notice provided. 

​

For wedding bookings, changes within a 25% tolerance (plus or minus the pre-agreed total) can be made to your booking up to one month before your order pick up/delivery date subject to availability and notice provided. Bitesize Bakehouse reserves the right to cancel orders that fall hugely outside of this scope.

 

Cake Consultations

Cake consultation payments are non-refundable as standard.

When a cake consultation is booked and paid for, Bitesize Bakehouse will put a temporary hold pencil on  your wedding date until after your consultation session, subject to availability. This however does not guarantee your wedding date is booked and secured. If another booking enquires on this temporary hold, you will have first refusal to go ahead and confirm your booking with a Booking Fee payment within a set time frame, as agreed with Bitesize Bakehouse. Without payment of your booking deposit, date holds will not be made indefinitely. 

Any bookings for cake consultations relating to wedding dates that already have a temporary hold will be made aware. Should they wish to continue and the date is booked by another party, a refund for the cake consultation will be made in full if it has not yet passed. No refunds for attended cake consultations where the wedding date is unavailable afterwards will be made. Bitesize Bakehouse will endeavour to clarify date availability wherever possible ahead of cake consultations.

Cancellations, Late Payments, Returns and Refund Policy

If you need to cancel your order please contact us as far in advance as possible.

 

All booking fees and deposits are non-refundable.

​

For all Celebration Cake, Wedding Cake and Bespoke Cake orders cancelled 14 days or more before the delivery/collection date will receive a full refund, less the deposit/booking fee and any other relevant and unavoidable outlay expenses that have occurred directly relating to your order. For all Celebration Cake, Wedding Cake and Bespoke Cake orders cancelled with less than 14 days notice will not be entitled to a full refund. Any reimbursement, if possible, will be at Bitesize Bakehouse's discretion and subject to deductions for unavoidable outlays for the confirmed order.

Please note, items will not be delivered/ available for collection until a full payment has been received. 

​

All our items are baked to order and we therefore do not accept returns. 

​

Refunds or a replacement order to the same value will be provided in the event that you receive the incorrect product or if the items were of unsatisfactory quality. Should this be the case, or if you are in any way unsatisfied with the condition or quality of your items(s), you must contact us by email within 24 hours of receipt of your product. Bitesize Bakehouse will not accept liability for any complaints made after this time.

Please note - the refunds/replacement order options as detailed above is not applicable for lost items via postal couriers whereby the item has been sent without tracked postage. This applies to any items purchased with 1st or 2nd class Royal Mail postage. Bitesize Bakehouse advises customers to select the tracked postal options to ensure replacements and/or refunds can be processed for purchases.

Non-edible Items

On occasion, some items (mainly cakes) may be supplied with non-edible items. It is the clients responsibility to remove all non-edible items prior to consumption. For example, non-edible flowers, cake support dowels, cake toppers, ribbon etc.

Allergens

Bitesize Bakehouse is NOT an allergy-free kitchen. Although we will make every effort to work with food allergies (including full kitchen clean downs and storing ingredients separately to prepared orders) we cannot guarantee that all of our products are free from ingredients that may affect those with food allergies. Please contact us before you place an order to inform us of any food allergies that you or your party may have and we will work to support this as best as possible.

The following ingredients are used regularly in our kitchen:

Milk and other dairy products

Eggs

Nuts: peanuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds, cashews, coconut

Wheat and gluten

Sulphites and Soya

Please note that some food colourings may have an effect on behaviour in children.

Collection & Delivery Details

Any delivery charges will be agreed at the time of ordering.

Collection of orders are free of charge. 

​

Bitesize Bakehouse will not be held liable for any damage to the cake after collection, or after delivery by ourselves directly. 

​

For all wedding cake orders, a "Delivery Confirmation" must be signed to confirm safe receipt and set up of the cake, as agreed via order details, with a pre-designated individual. This signed document confirms suitable set up was achieved within the agreed timeframes, at the agreed location and to the standards expected as per the booking details.
