Do you know the difference between Vanilla Extract and Vanilla Essence? It is an important distinction and shouldn't be confused...
Extract is made from real Vanilla pods and comes from the Orchid plant, whereas Essence is an entirely synthetic product 😱
I know I'll be baking even more (how is that possible?!) as the weather gets colder and we are inside more, so I thought I would share one of my favourite products in the kitchen.
I have been using and genuinely loving Little Pod Vanilla Paste for a few years now and I cannot recommend it enough. Aside from the company doing good for the planet and it's people on the ground, the taste the paste inparts is 😘👌🏽. They have a handy tube which means no mess from scraping out seeds AND it's concentrated so the tube lasts aaaages too.
If you are baking this festive season, I'd say first thing is to check the cupboards. Do you have extract or essence? If you've got essence, maybe next time think about giving extract a try.
